Accessing RightNow manuals, release notes, and upgrade documentation
Manuals and release documentation for RightNow products are available from the Community Library. Click the Library link in the tool bar and then click Manuals and Release Documentation.
The Library provides access to documentation for the following products:
- RightNow 8.0 and later releases
- RightNow CRM 7.x
- RightNow Service and Outbound 6.x
- RightNow eService Center 5.x
- RightNow Locator 3.5
- RightNow Feedback 8.0 and later and Metrics 4.4
Note: In 8.1 and later, the data dictionary is accessed through the Administration Console of the application. Staff accounts whose profile has the Administration box checked on the Common tab can access the data dictionary from the path: Common Administration Items > Database Administration > Data Dictionary.
For each version, the documentation items are classified in several categories:

Manuals: includes administrator and user manuals for the product, module and version selected.

Standard Reports: provides access to catalogs that describe the standard reports included in the application.

Release Documentation: includes release notes, new features and enhancements documents and addendums.
|
|
Upgrade Information: includes the SmartConversion guide, the HMS guide and workstation requirements.

Supplemental Documentation: includes the database schema, data dictionary, hardware and software specifications and installation guides.

Integration Manuals: Integration manuals are only accessible to customers who have purchased the API or pass-through authentication (PTA). From the Answers tab, search on "integration" or "integration manual" to access the correct answer. Answer 1575 is accessible only to customers who have purchased API or PTA.
